SMU will begin its 2027 football season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium before hosting Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford in ACC play. The Mustangs will visit Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke for their five conference road games.
The nine-game league schedule will be SMU's second under the ACC's current format. That structure calls for nine conference games and at least 10 contests against Power Four opponents each season. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 football schedule are expected in late January.
Under coach Rhett Lashlee, SMU is 15-2 in ACC competition and has won every conference game at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. That record is the best among ACC programs during that span.
