The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with wide receiver Ryan Flournoy on an additional season, keeping him under contract through 2027. The deal was reported before the team’s regular-season opener against the New York Giants.
Flournoy was selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Cowboys exposed him to waivers during their initial roster reductions in 2025, but he went unclaimed and later returned to Dallas as a practice-squad player.
That move resulted in a new contract rather than continuation of his original four-year rookie agreement. As a result, Dallas would have had a restricted-free-agent opportunity involving Flournoy in 2027.
The reported agreement is for one year and $6 million. The source said that figure is below the projected amount of a second-round tender, which the Cowboys could otherwise have used. The contract is expected to be signed this week.
