Anonos Innovations LLC has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase Bank, alleging that the financial institution’s payment systems violate proprietary technology designed to protect customer and merchant data.

According to the legal filing, JPMorgan has willfully infringed these patents since at least the start of 2017. The complaint asserts that bank executives attended data privacy presentations during that period, providing them with knowledge of the technology in question.
