Plano police seek help finding 58-year-old woman missing since Thursday walk

Plano police are requesting public assistance to locate Vanaja Jaligama, a 58-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday. She was last observed leaving her residence for a walk at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the 6200 block of Windhaven Parkway.

According to the Plano Police Department, Jaligama departed her home without shoes. Officials noted that she has resided in the area for only about two months and is still unfamiliar with the local neighborhood.

Authorities have expressed concern for her physical condition. Police stated that Jaligama is diabetic and did not have her medication with her at the time she disappeared. Additionally, she has not eaten since the previous night.

Police describe the missing woman as 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 130 pounds. She has dark hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a blue Saree, matching the clothing shown in her official missing person photograph.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact 911 immediately. Callers should reference Plano Police incident number 2026-187535 when reporting tips.
