The Universal Kids resort in Frisco is now open to the public, marking the debut of a new family destination in North Texas. Frisco sits approximately 12 miles northwest of Plano. The property, owned by NBCUniversal, features a theme park and an on-site hotel with 300 rooms designed with themed decor. Amenities include dining options and a swimming pool.
Families began checking in to the resort on the evening prior to the full opening. Park officials have established operating hours that typically run from 10 a.m. to 7 or 8 p.m., though times may vary by day. Guests staying at the resort are permitted to enter the theme park before the general public.
Ticket availability remains tight for the initial days of operation. As of the time of reporting, tickets for Friday and Sunday were still available, but admissions for Wednesday and Saturday, July 4, had already sold out. The resort is located near the Dallas North Tollway.
Local residents have expressed enthusiasm for the new attraction. Breshelle West of Frisco stated she was excited about the development. Jeremy Li of Celina noted that he had watched the construction progress daily on his commute and shared his anticipation for the opening.
