SPARK! Dallas, an educational nonprofit focused on youth creativity, has announced SPARKtacular, a fundraising event scheduled for Thursday, September 10. The gathering will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at a private residence in Dallas. Dallas is about 18 miles south of Plano. The event is designed exclusively for adults aged 21 and older and will feature live music, handcrafted cocktails, and cuisine. The goal of the fundraiser is to support the organization’s mission of providing scholarships for students.

Event co-chairs Kristi and Ron Hoyl, along with Melissa Sherrill and Ross Martin, are leading the effort. Meg Bittner, president and CEO of SPARK!, emphasized the importance of creativity and original thought for future leaders. She stated that the organization works with schools to promote learning through a creative setting that fosters critical thinking skills. Bittner invited the community to support the organization’s efforts.

Melissa Sherrill described SPARK! as a dynamic nonprofit serving students and educators by providing pathways to success through art education and STEAM programs. Kristi Hoyl added that the funds raised will help provide scholarships for deserving students from Title 1 schools. She noted that these students gain access to SPARK!’s creative environment to develop their skills, potentially transforming their futures as artists, architects, or engineers.

During the 2025-2026 school year, SPARK! hosted 105 schools and organizations, serving nearly 7,000 students on field trips. More than 51% of these students came from Title 1 schools. Additionally, nearly 40% of open play admissions were from Museums for All attendees, who receive reduced admission for families with government benefits such as SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid.

Sponsorships for the event range from $1,000 to $50,000. Tickets will be sold closer to the event date if availability permits. More information is available at https://sparkdallas.org/sparktacular/.

Founded in 2010, SPARK! Dallas provides a creative environment for students in grades 2 through 12. The organization offers workshops, pop-up activities, and exhibits to help students develop self-definition as creative individuals. Its vision is to help students acquire creative skills to excel in school and compete in the workforce. SPARK! also hosts interactive camps, field trips, and birthday parties. The organization is located at 1409 Botham Jean Blvd, Ste. 004, Dallas, Texas 75215. For more information, visit https://sparkdallas.org/.
