Cowboy Chicken has provided a $2,000 contribution to Carry The Load, a Dallas-based nonprofit that supports military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families. The funds were generated through a fundraising campaign tied to the restaurant’s grand opening in Plano earlier this summer.
The donation was presented during the National Day of Service and Remembrance. The total amount combines proceeds from the Carry The Load weekend held at the Plano location with additional funds contributed directly by the restaurant to reach the final figure.
Carry The Load operates programs that include counseling, mental health resources, and scholarships for children of fallen service members. The nonprofit focuses on honoring those who have served in the armed forces as well as emergency responders.
Aaron White, an operating partner at the Plano Cowboy Chicken and a U.S. Marine veteran, stated that the partnership aligns with the restaurant’s goal to engage more deeply with the local area. He expressed gratitude for the reception the business has received since opening.
White emphasized the company’s intention to build lasting relationships within the community and support organizations dedicated to honoring service members. The donation marks a transition from the initial grand-opening celebration to ongoing community involvement.
