In Plano, the Downtown Arts District hosts two significant gatherings. The fifth annual Art Drop Day takes place September 3 and 4, where local artists conceal original works throughout the district for participants to find using provided clues. Later in the week, the Water Lantern Festival returns to Haggard Park on September 5 and 6.
Organizers expect more than 2,000 attendees to personalize lanterns before a synchronized sunset launch accompanied by live music.

Cultural festivities continue in Frisco on September 5 with a free Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Kaleidoscope Park. The festival features a Parade of Nations, live performances, local vendors, and interactive activities, concluding with a concert by Havana NRG. Additionally, the RoughRiders offer a Sip & Swing Night on September 2 at the Lounge by Topgolf, providing discounted appetizers and swing bays alongside specialty cocktails.
