SMU has brought in fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers, who is enrolled at the school and practicing with the men’s basketball team as his eligibility remains under review. The school has not announced when a decision will be made.
Sellers played last season at St. John’s, opening 36 games and producing 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest. The Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. He joined St. John’s after spending the 2024-25 season at Stanford, where he started every game and averaged 13.7 points in ACC play.
The guard previously spent two seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield. Sellers has connected on 37.8% of his career three-point attempts, including 42.9% as a USC sophomore, and has made 86.9% of his free throws. His arrival comes as SMU starts Enfield’s third season and prepares for 2026-27 with a transfer class that On3 ranks 21st nationally.
